Our Founder's Story
My name is Mark Houghton, and it’s my mission to help nonprofits with their IT (Information Technology) systems.
I’ve been helping people with their software solutions for most of my life. But in 2014, when I was approached to solve a terrific nonprofit organization’s database problems, I found a unique opportunity to extend that help to people who need it most.
Cynthia Kersey’s Unstoppable Foundation uses education to lift communities out of extreme poverty by building modern schools for girls in Eastern Africa. But her foundation was struggling to communicate effectively and build their donor base because of an overbuilt, difficult-to-use CRM (Customer Relationship Managment) computer system. They needed a new and better solution, and fast.
I agreed to join their wonderful cause, and installed my proprietary CRM in place of their existing one, importing all of their legacy data. Over the next several years, the Unstoppable Foundation donations surged by 200%, from $1M to $3M, using my CRM to manage donor communications, real-time online donations, peer-to-peer fundraising, and Gala event ticketing.
Now I’ve assembled a team to make this lightweight yet powerful system available to all nonprofits, at a fraction of the cost of other systems, to help the nonprofit community leverage technology to increase revenue and support their worthy cause.
